I bring extensive experience in international classroom teaching and private tutoring, instilling a passion for English language and literature, promoting the importance of reading and writing and exposing new ideas and experiences, offering unique perspectives and the advantage of learning and escapism that literature offers. Throughout my career I have been commended for my ability to form trusting and strong relationships with learners, offering an approachable persona in guiding and educating to achieve success. I inspire my students by instilling confidence, utilising successful teaching methods, learning materials and constructive feedback to boost confidence and ensure students believe in themselves and realise their potential. Throughout my roles I have been fortunate to work in many countries developing a cross cultured sensitivity, easily navigating cultural differences and interacting with international learners. I am passionate in determining effective student progress and addressing student needs to assist in a successful education, steering effective learning and development through an inclusive curriculum, exciting lessons and continuously developing new approaches to teaching and assessment. My skills also lie in going above and beyond to assist learners with social, academic and emotional difficulties, building mutual trust and respect to facilitate confidence in achieving learning aspirations. I am experienced in curriculum and programme design and growth, reviewing and developing programmes to meet the needs of learners, demonstrating a passion in creating effective learning environments and heightening learning potential.
