Attention to safety at workplaces has always aroused my interest. After years of working in the recreation sector, there was even more interest in safety during my work, in principle as a volunteer firefighter and later as a professional firefighter for the Groningen Safety Region. Dealing consciously with risks is of great importance for performing repressive tasks, before and during deployment. As a self-employed person (Freelance) I have been able to observe the differences in various projects of various large and smaller companies in the petrochemical industry, food and construction. Here I have gained a lot of experience in recent years, and in the workplace and with my own eyes I can see how people consciously and unconsciously take major risks while performing various activities. It is fascinating to be able to experience the differences in the field of (working conditions) safety and the attention paid to this at different companies. I am currently in the final phase of the Higher Safety Studies course. In addition to my many years of experience on various different large and small projects and the Higher Safety Studies program, I see myself as a professional and driven person who can take safety to a higher level! In addition to GT Safety Services, I started Bhv2Day.nl in 2009. Bhv2Day.nl aims to set up an in-house emergency response organization within a company and to show companies what the added value is of a well-designed emergency response plan and well-trained employees.
