About Ghada Chamandi
A PhD candidate at Université Paris Cité-Inserm U976 – Human Immunology, Pathophysiology, Immunotherapy department, Paris, France. I am also a lab manager and research assistant at the the department of Anatomy, Cell biology, and Physiology at the faculty of medicine in the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon. My main research interest focuses on the role of microRNA (miRNA)in the initiation, development, and progression in the molecular aporcine breast cancer, and on the role of miRNA as a potential diagnostic and prognostic minimally invasive biomarker in this subtype. At AUB, I have trained and mentored a number of undergraduate,and Masters students. I am also passionate about bridging the gap between cancer research and public awareness. I have been an active member in “AMALOUNA”, a non-profit AUB affiliated educational organization who's core mission is to fight cancer through advocating for education, prevention, and awareness.
