About Gia Conte

One of my very first jobs was an apprentice in a hair salon. I was useless at doing hair but discovered much to my surprise that I was very good at selling really expensive shampoo. Ever since then I have worked in sales in one form or another. I have a great deal of passion for the advertising and marketing industry. My commitment to the industry was the reason why I volunteered as a committee member in the Advertising & Media Association South Africa (AMASA). I also went as far as completing the AMASA Media Management Course in 2010 and passed top of the class. I was promoted in 2015 and have ventured into product management which I really enjoyed. I then moved on to work as a media strategist specializing in OOH at two of the largest agency groups globally. My experience working working on both the demand and supply side of the media world has given me a unique point of view which assists me daily in making strategic decisions. I'm driven, creative and curious. I'm inspired by learning and I constantly strive to better myself in all aspects of my life. My other interests are photography, creative writing, travelling and art.
