About Giacomo Forlani

I’m manager with consolidated experience in medium and big-sized companies, where I developed my professional figure in Procurement and Supply Chain Management in widely different manufacturing sectors: Industrial Automation, Electrical Insulating Fittings, Defense Industry (with N.O.S. certification), Metal-mechanics, Medical/Dental, Furniture for Mass Retail Channels, Industrial Plant Design, Civilian Plant Design and Cogeneration Plants (CHP), Ceramic Tiles. While a Procurement Director I directed complex reorganizations within the department, both in terms of decentralization and centralization. I led important strategic projects, for instance the implementation of an ERP System with the role of Distribution Area BPO and a project of Lean Thinking in Supply Chain area (Kanban, Suppliers autocertification, …), leading and directing interfunctional teams. I managed to achieve tangible and impactful results in reduction of the Total Cost of Ownership in different product categories and industries, and implemented SW instruments aimed to reduce the operating activity and to support the procurement process.
