Background

About Giacomo Putti

I’m an Environmental Engineer from DTU with a passion for turning complex sustainability challenges into practical, auditable solutions. At HP, I support the charge on Scope 3 carbon data, acting as both methodology owner and the main point of contact for third-party audits of our emissions and reporting processes. I’m deeply involved in ensuring our climate strategy and reporting aligns with the GHG Protocol and SBTi, and I serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Scope 3 across key frameworks like CSRD, CDP, and the EU’s CBAM regulation. Beyond data and compliance, I’m also contributing to the documentation and governance of all Scope 3-related information—ensuring transparency, consistency, and readiness for internal and external stakeholders. My work often intersects with product carbon footprinting, where I ensure alignment with ISO standards 14040 and 14044. I'm also actively engaged in cross-functional process optimization projects to streamline how we manage carbon data across the organization. I thrive in international, fast-paced environments and communicate fluently in Italian (native), English (advanced), and Spanish (intermediate).
