About Giada Negri

As Acting Co-Secretary General at the European Civic Forum alongside Joao Labrincha (October–December 2025), I provide strategic leadership and guidance across the organisation’s policy, advocacy, communications, and project portfolios. My role involves ensuring strategic coherence between our advocacy, campaigns, and programme delivery, while fostering collaboration among staff and partners. I lead the policy and advocacy team, driving efforts to protect and expand civic space across Europe. My work focuses on building bridges between civil society organisations, European institutions, and academic stakeholders, and supporting national partners in pursuing accountability for civic space restrictions. I lead ECF’s advocacy on the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028–2034 and the European Civil Society Strategy, representing the Forum in high-level political and institutional fora. Working closely with the Steering Committee and Board of Directors, I help shape ECF’s political vision, strengthen partnerships, and advance our multiannual programme. I also co-supervise fundraising and donor relations to ensure alignment with our long-term advocacy and sustainability goals. Deeply committed to the sustainability and resilience of civil society, I advocate for a culture of care that empowers activists and communities to thrive amid social and political challenges.
