Background

About Gianella Z.

I'm a higher education professional passionate about developing students through impactful programming, strategic collaboration, and people-focused counseling. Currently, I'm the Program Coordinator at Florida International University for the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS), which has allowed me to gain an expertise in graduate program management, student development initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. The greatest opportunity my role has given me is being able to connect with students and help them achieve their goals. My experience spans program design, academic advising, event coordination, and process optimization across educational and nonprofit environments. During my undergraduate studies, I focused heavily on clinical psychology, sociology, and communication- topics that would aid me in the field of counseling psychology. I've got a genuine desire to support others and am passionate about making a meaningful impact on others- whether that's as a counselor or a friendly stranger!
