About Gianluca Ferri

Gianluca Ferri has been advising on tax assessments and tax litigation for almost 20 years. In this domain, he successfully dealt with a large number of claims in all stages of the proceedings, including before the Italian Supreme Court, thus acquiring extensive expertise on the most complex tax issues. Furthermore, Ferri has dealt with peculiar, substantive tax issues in connection with M&A transaction, protection and transfer of family businesses and wealth, taxation in the sectors of energy, IT/IP, innovative start-up, real estate, finance, and large retailers, which he has been assisting for 15 years, in the ordinary course of business, on extraordinary transactions, as well as in tax litigation proceedings. In addition, Gianluca Ferri is the author of several articles published on sectoral journals, and a speaker to conferences on tax matters arranged by AIFI (the Italian association of Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt). Ferri attended the annual Master in Tax Law at LUISS post-graduate institute, in and the specialization course in EC Direct Corporate Taxation in in 2008, with the IBFD International Tax Academy – Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He speaks and writes in English fluently. Since 2011, Ferri has been a lecturer in the tax dispute resolution course within the annual Master in Tax Law arranged by IPSOA-WKI. He has been admitted in the L’Aquila’s Bar since 2001, and in the special register of Supreme Court lawyers since 2013.
