About Gianna Massaro

I am current first-generation undergraduate student at Suffolk University pursuing a bachelors degree in Psychology. My primary interests includes research, sports psychology, and and the impact of movement on mental health and self-image. With a strong background in dance and leadership as the captain of the Suffolk University Dance Company, I am particularly passionate about exploring the psychological health of athletes and performers. Through my education, experiences, and extracurricular activities, I have gained strong skills in research, mentorship, leadership, and mental health advocacy. My internship at Doc Wayne Youth Services has provided me with hands-on experience in sports-based therapy, allowing me to apply psychological principles in real-world settings. Additionally, my role as a Ram Supporter has strengthened my ability to mentor and support first-year students as they navigate academic and personal challenges. I am excited to continue building my experience, developing my skills, and collaborating with others who share my passion for improving mental health for all.
