About Gianna McGrath

I am a senior at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Global Business with dual concentrations in Global Marketing with Consumer Insights and Business Law & Ethics, while maintaining a 3.9 GPA. I am grateful to be the recipient of the John and Rita Toppeta Scholarship, a four-year award covering the full cost of attendance, and to be a previous member of Fordham's Division 1 Cheerleading team. After graduation, I hope to pursue a legal career within the entertainment industry. I have gained valuable work experience outside the classroom through my internship at Madison Square Garden with their Government and Social Impact team, where I was able to evaluate and analyze 2024 New York State legislative developments and deliver key insights on potential impacts for MSG operations. I've also had the privilege of interning with the New York City Ballet Development Office, where I performed a benchmark analysis of the performing arts space in NYC to identify branding partnerships, as well as their Education Department, where I've supported the planning, staffing, and execution of educational public programs. Additionally, since my first year at Fordham, I’ve continued to work in Fordham’s Alumni Relations Department, where I work to support an alumni community of 200K, planning and executing small and large-scale events that drive alumni engagement, including the University's annual Jubilee Reunion attended by nearly 2K alumni. I leverage the customer relationship management tool, Advance, to streamline data management and efficiency and have honed my interpersonal skills interfacing with alumni of all backgrounds. Within Fordham’s academics, two hallmark programs have allowed me to work in team settings for extended periods, where we conducted deep analysis and research to support a sizable final presentation. During the Gabelli Consulting Cup, I worked with a team of peers to develop a comprehensive and innovative solution for Nordstrom. During my freshman year, as a part of the Ground Floor Challenge, my team created an extensive business plan for FitSwitch, a clothing exchange app that aims to reduce clothing waste.
