About Gianna Santoni

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Florida, majoring in Biomedical Sciences with minors in Medical Anthropology and Health Science. I am currently working as the Disability Awareness Director at Volunteer UCF. Here, I have gained lots of experience in Community Outreach, Advocacy, and Leadership in the year I have been involved with the organization. Additionally, I serve as a member of the Dean's Leadership Council, where I gain skills in Networking and Event planning. In terms of research, I am involved in two initiatives. I am a member of a team within the Knight Research Scholars Program, where I investigate the association between Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH). The other initiative is my Honor Undergraduate Thesis (HUT) project, where I investigate factors influencing health outcomes in women with PCOS. In these experiences, I gained skills in Research, Study Design, and Teamwork.I am looking for opportunities in Clinical Research, Scientific Research, and Healthcare, and can be reached at gianna.santoni@ucf.edu.My interests include Advocacy, Volunteerism, and Wellness.
