About Gianna Stelluto

During my academic and professional journey in Engineering and Environmental studies, I have recognized the crucial importance of the STEM discipline in our society. This realization motivated me to take on a sustainability project during my time at Boise State University, where I developed strategies to address pressing environmental challenges. During the initial semester, our endeavors witnessed the creation of an innovative pizza box, to accurately engineered extending its lifespan. A remarkable aspect of this imaginative design was its incorporation of an interactive game on the upper surface, defying the traditional notion of this commonplace receptacle and bestowing upon it an enhanced longevity. In the proceeding academic semesters, our team was tactfully directed towards addressing the vexing predicament of single-use plastics polluting our campus grounds. Demonstrating our tenacity and abounding collaborative spirit, we conscientiously collected the discarded plastics, engaged in a shredding process, and subsequently subjected the resulting material to a melting process. This culminated in the formidable creation of a adaptable substance that could be utilized by the student machine shop for their future projects. These projects reflect my ongoing dedication to sustainability and environmental conservation by integrating engineering principles with environmental consciousness. They demonstrate my commitment to advancing ecological harmony and making a lasting impact on a global scale.
