About Gianni Pearson

I am an alumna of Bennett College, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, driven to make a difference in communities and individuals that lives may go unnoticed. I completed my undergraduate studies in 2018 with a double B.A; in Journalism and Media Studies and a correlate in Public Relations. Enhancing solutions are my passion, and managing non-profit organizations is my preference. Socially, I joined the Student Union Activities Board in 2016 as a student activity coordinator. Being (1/5), the Student Union Activity Board team created fun, fit, and entertaining events for the students on and off-campus, coordinated alum events, and planned homecoming plays, performances, and activities for students on and off the College campus. Founder and Coordinator of the 5N5 campaign since 2016; an online networking campaign that promotes healthy lifestyles, keeping African American Women healthy by raising health awareness, and creating a new culture at Bennett. In addition, coordinating these initiatives drove me to do more for my community. This writer has completed over 160 volunteer hours in the Greensboro and Washington DC metropolitan areas. One of my proud accomplishments was becoming a mentor (1/26) for the Middle College 4H Mentoring Program at Bennett College. The 4H program was to help mentor and guide young students to increase skill performance through S.T.E.M-based courses as they plan for their futures in science, technology, engineering, and mathematic disciplines. I am currently setting realistic goals to better the outcomes for my community and students. Born and raised in Washington, District of Columbia, I have gained the unique ability to establish and maintain connections with consumers; the fulfillment I receive when changing the trajectory of someone else's life is still astonishing. I am committed to serving both underrepresented and underserved communities to reach full potential back into the real world. In addition to working with multiple organizations and businesses, I also specialize in media & law, educational peer support, and emergency crises. Gianni specializes in event hosting, planning, coaching, and community development that merges creativity and solutions with my current management skills.
