About Gideon Coolin

In my short career, I have had a broad variety of experience: from researching WMD capabilities, to field organising for an overseas aid campaign, to writing bids for Sub-Saharan African social enterprises, to co-writing a paper on governance and inequality, to working full-time as a researcher in Sierra Leone - co-designing and managing projects on the energy transition and livelihoods. Through these posts, I have gained a range of skills: I am a strong writer; am proficient with data management and analysis in Stata, Excel, and GIS; have project management experience; am able to engage and work alongside stakeholders; and am a curious and fast learner. Also, in graduating top of my cohort from KCL and, very recently, graduating with an MPhil from Cambridge, I have an interest in a number of subjects: politics - both in the UK and overseas, economics, history, public health, technological change, and the environment. I am lucky to have opportunity to put the skills I have developed towards these issues that I find so fascinating.
