About Gideon Galloway

The insurance industry knows me as the CEO of King Price, the first (and only) insurer brave enough to offer decreasing premiums. And while that’s true, there’s much more to it than that. Long before our kingdom started flipping the insurance industry on its head, I was the youngest marketing director Telesure’s board had ever seen. There, I worked with brands like Auto & General, Budget Insurance, Dialdirect, and 1LifeDirect, and also founded the insurance aggregator, Hippo. This position also enabled me to work with insurance brands in the UK and Australia. While this gave me an in-depth insight into the world of insurance, it also awakened my desire to do something greater. I then established more than a dozen companies, pitched to over 40 investors and sold several companies which are still big players in the South African market to this day. All to fund the King Price dream. Now, 7 years later, we’ve saved our clients nearly R150 million in decreasing premiums, employed 800 highly qualified staff members and launched some pretty daring products. My royal team and I are here to build a legacy worth remembering, 1 happy client at a time.
