About Gil Lau

I am a full stack software engineer with extensive leadership experience. I build teams and solve problems.I have maintained and enhanced decades-old legacy products, migrated them to modern platforms or the web, and architected and developed new products from scratch. I have led teams of 3-8 to consistently deliver quality code in short sprints, and managed large projects. I design resilient, sophisticated solutions that are simple and maintainable. I have experience creating front end interfaces to optimizing database stored procedures, but my thrill is looking at complex back end processes and optimizing the heck out of them.My passion is building teams and uplifting my teammates by leading from the front. No task is impossible and there is nothing we cannot achieve together.I believe we cannot sit still and expect life to hand us blessings. You need to make your own luck and forge your own destiny. What's stopping you from fulfilling your dreams?
