ASE Certified Service Consultant! 27 plus years in the Auto Service Industry. Currently 14 years in Auto Dealerships ( Service Consultant) 15 or more working at Company Owned Goodyear/Just Tires locations, Started at Service and Tire Sales, promoted to Service Manager, then to Store Manager. Responsible of complete retail store operation to include hiring of new employees,training ( processes, high involvement ), inventory control, payroll preparation, purchasing,accounts payable and receivables, monthly sales meetings, working with team to exceed sales goals, forecasting sales. Profit and Loss Management. Managed various locations in Los Angeles and Orange County's. Every store Managed had a Profit or Profit Improvement. Last store managed was in top ten stores in the nation in profit, and was utilized for training new employees. Goodyear Auditors come and audit your store with no notice to make sure you are taking care of Goodyear's assets. 4 out of 5 Audits at different locations were Excellent Audits. The one missed was by 3 points ( My First Audit). Success at each store was due to the right people employed and retained.( The people that become employees have to know what the major responsibilities and performance standards are for the position when hired. They must know what's expected!) Happy employees are productive employees. My favorite quote: You either Make it Happen, Watch it Happen or Wonder what Happened? Note: Would like a opportunity to manage a Service Department at a dealership. But from what I see it's not what you know it's who you know. I've worked for some Managers that really don't have a clue? Leaves me wondering how did they get that job / position? I know I would be a success if given the opportunity.
