About Gilbert Young
From a young age I've always been interested in the interactions that law, politics and social justice have in our society. I've worked on several political campaigns in the Atlanta Area, which has given me the opportunity to work closely with Mayor Andre Dickens, and foster close relationships with the Atlanta City Council. I learned the importance of social justice from my mentor, Presidential Medal of Freedom winner, the late C.T Vivian. Increasing the quality of life and freedoms of all marginalized groups is a core tenant that I live by. I am looking for opportunities that will allow me to expand my horizons, and interact with my world in a meaningful way. Working with people to achieve a goal as efficiently as possible is a key skill that I have honed through years of experience. I love to learn, and I love to be tested. When I am not working, I am either studying, or working on artwork. I am a published illustrator, and my work has been featured in several galleries.
