About Gilberto Perez

From Houston, I am currently focused on entrepreneurship through Grupo Perplast, which is based in Mexico City, employs a staff of 180, and caters for the packaging requirements of diverse industries. Previously, I held positions of increasing responsibility with the multinational CEMEX, a leader in the building materials industry, and earlier worked with Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc-Moctezuma, Monterrey as a Brand Manager. My key achievements include- Acquired extensive experience in growing and managing a capital intensive company, integrated new operations, and dealt with the ebb and flow of demand in a highly cyclical industry - Engaged effectively with U.S. and international regulators and political leaders, and oversaw the creation of a national marketing, logistics and transportation network - Turned around at least 5 underperforming operations - Directed and mentored a high-performing team of multicultural executives to become recognized as one of the best in the industry. My qualifications include a Master of Science in Management from Stanford University as well as Board Executive Training also from the Stanford University Business School. My strengths include exceptional leadership combining excellent business acumen with a sound understanding of global markets. I have cultivated trusted relationships with diverse clients, suppliers, as well as key high-profile role players in both Government and private sector organizations.
