I am an IT specialist with over ten years professional experience. In addition to my academic qualifications, I am also PRINCE2 Foundation Certified. I have experience in a wide range of technologies, both software and hardware. Over the last several years my main focus has been in infrastructure management and administration, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of multiple fleets of both Windows and Linux based servers in an AWS cloud environment. In addition I have worked with a.NET codebase SaaS platform, written various scripts and tools to facilitate task automation, resolved escalated support tickets and responded to high priority incidents during and outside business hours. Some examples of technologies I have worked extensively with include but are not limited to: AWS - EC2, Cloudformation, Systems Manager (SSM), VPC, ELB/ALBs, EC2 Autoscaling Groups, S3, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, RDS, Route 53, IAM, Lambda, AWS Directory Services and more Microsoft - Visual Studio.NET (All versions), IIS, Powershell, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, SQL Server 2012-2017, DPM, WSUS Linux and others - Experience with various Linux distributions over the last 20 years, Nginx, Apache Webserver, Squid Cache, HAProxy, Postgresql, Git, VMware vSphere/Virtual Center, Docker and much more. My broad skillset includes but is not limited to the following- Diagnosing and rectifying complex problems across multiple technical domains - Carrying out in-depth incident analysis - Identifying, responding to and investigating potential and actual security incidents - Writing both summary and detailed documentation for various audiences - Providing advice, guidance as well as hands-on assistance to project teams I enjoy working with a team, contributing my knowledge and experience towards common goals and learning from those around me. I would like to continue developing my technical and professional skills towards DevOps roles, with the aim of progressing to a Cloud Architect role.
