Background

About Gillian Burgett

During my Capstone at Space Concordia, I contributed to the complex design and assembly of components relating to the rocket's avionics power systems and overall avionics design. I also advocated on behalf of the society for improved funding and representation within the community and coordinated consistently with 5+ projects to ensure adequate and comprehensive communication and prioritization.I am a recent Electrical Engineering graduate with experience as an Intermodal RoadOps, Pegasus Development Intern at CN, where I worked on call support for legacy systems, troubleshooted system issues, traced and provided code changes, communicated with the team, documented the training process, and implemented organizational structures. I also have experience as an Enterprise Architecture, Telecommunications & Digital Workspace Intern at CN, where I contributed to the design and development of various Confluence spaces, utilized Power BI to build and design advanced dashboards, optimized existing data structures, and assisted in the cleanup and organization of the Infrastructure & Operations PDM data structures. My passion for working on projects that push the boundaries of power and renewable energy systems is something I've worked years on to improve my skills and knowledge in the industry. I'm driven by not just the knowledge that it is important to work toward fixing climate change, but that it is what is best for the future of companies in their long-term sustainability. I have skills in performance monitoring, renewable energy origination, energy efficiency analyses, and more. I am looking for opportunities to work on advanced technical projects that leverage my expertise and challenge me to grow as an electrical engineer.
