About Gillian Desousa

Gillian currently works at MerchantCantos as Project Manager. Over the past couple of years, she’s worked on branding and creative projects for clients like Perry World House, Avon, Facebook, PepsiCo, Goldman Sachs and Sysco. She has been actively involved in a wide variety of communication disciplines, including exhibitions, environmental graphics, publication design, corporate identity, annual reports, and digital media. At Plaid, Gillian worked on various projects including conference management, managing the production of videos, helping create a presence for clients at SXSW 2014 and new business development. Prior to joining Plaid, Gillian worked for 10 years as Project Manager for Pentagram Design where she managed all aspects of highly creative projects for clients such as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the New York Public Library, Lincoln Center, the Museum of the City of New York, Safdie Architects, Skidmore Owings and Merrill, Gehry Partners and the National Gallery of the Arts. Gillian also spent time at a New York-based telecommunications company and in the marketing department of Booz Allen Hamilton, where she was in charge of producing intellectual capital for the firm’s external and internal audiences. Gillian received her Bachelors degree from the University of Bombay. Having a degree in Nutrition, Gillian is extremely health conscious and aware of current trends in the food industry.
