About Gillian McCarthy

I am a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Irish Tax Institute. I have over fifteen years tax and business services experience leading and managing internal teams and servicing the business, tax, and advisory needs of SME business clients, international clients and large family groups. While working in private practice, I developed an interest for best practices, process improvements and the oversight of engagement and quality management review for the firm and our clients. As Manager of Professional Standards at CA ANZ, I educate, support and monitor members and provide assistance with Australian and International accounting standards and ethical and legal requirements. I am passionate about educating and fostering member growth for CA ANZ, and encouraging growth and strategic direction across the accounting profession and for our members to be able to make a difference in the communities in which they work and live.
