About Gillian Petersen

A lifelong learner with experience in neuropsychological, sexual health, and gender studies research. My bachelors degree of science has helped broaden my horizons in neuropsychology, gender studies, and Indigenous studies, aiding in the development of my critical thinking skills and intersectional approach both in and outside of the workplace. My most recent studies have included addictions treatment and prevention, and my current role is an addictions and mental health counsellor. This, paired with my retail pharmacy background, is collaboratively enhancing my clinical skills and deepening my knowledge on substance use and behavioural addictions. I pride myself on maintaining authenticity throughout my work and fostering welcoming, anti-oppressive, inclusive environments with clients, colleagues, and employers
