About Gillian Pinder

I am a true blend of engineer and entrepreneur, with proven success creating and delivering products and programs within academia, industry, and communities. I am skilled at identifying new opportunities to understand and create, particularly for female athletes, outlining clear strategies for success, executing technical analysis, and energizing teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions. My sports engineering background includes studying, developing, and testing products and surfaces at multiple Canadian universities and for industry leaders including Arc'Teryx, Lululemon, adidas. I am currently working within the Arc'Teryx Advanced Concepts team on the future of mountain sports product. As an entrepreneur, I recently launched an orthotic-compatible barefoot footwear with my company BareWear, which I lead from initial problem statement through sales across North America. Previously, I founded a University of Saskatchewan program for female engineering students called GearUP, and a community-funded soccer camp for young players new to Canada. Engaged, collaborative and hard working, I thrive in challenging situations and look forward to what's next.
