About Gillian Richardson

2018 graduate of Food and Agri-business Management, University College Dublin, graduated with a first-class honours degree. I spent the 2016 autumn semester abroad at the University of Connecticut, where I achieved a first for my course work during the semester. I have obtained experience working with Agri Aware, the Agricultural Science Association (ASA) and on my family’s suckler, sheep and tillage farm in Co Carlow. In 2019 & 2020 worked as a Trainee Journalist with the Irish Country Living progressing from an intern position. I was with the Irish Country Living and Irish Farmers Journal for a total of five months. In March 2020 I took on the role on Agricultural and Rural Affairs Policy Officer with Macra na Feirme In January 2022,I was acting Head of Policy for the duration of the hiring process of a new CEO. As of June 2022, I transitioned into the role of Network Manager of Macra Agricultural Skillnet. In 2021 I completed a Diploma in Leadership in the Agri-food Sector in University College Cork which was delivered virtually due to the pandemic. I undertook a Certificate in Governance which was completed in the summer of 2022.
