Gillian has also been a professional actor, is a qualified teacher and has experience as an arts administrator. She has proven herself to be an exceptional leader who builds effective teams, especially during organizational transitions and change. Gillian is a creative, enthusiastic and results-oriented leader with an ability to develop and foster strong relationships. Gillian was provided the opportunity to lead the IMS Command Centre during the COVID-19 pandemic at one of the hardest hit hospitals in the country, where she demonstrated resilience and the ability to drive alignment, plan for risks and achieve quick decision making. Gillian has proven to be an inclusive and innovative leader, with a deep commitment to equity and diversity, who can lead in multiple sectors with success.
