About Gina Asalon

With over nine years of experience as an online learning professional, I develop and deliver high-quality and engaging online and blended courses and MOOCs for diverse and global audiences. One of my favorite parts of this work is collaborating and building relationships with subject matter experts, instructors, and funders/partners to design and implement effective online learning environments that meet the needs and goals of the learners and are grounded in adult learning principles, Universal Design for Learning, and instructional design best practices. I approach innovation through a learner-centered lens—designing creative solutions that engage participants while remaining accessible to those with limited resources. By balancing emerging technologies with practical design principles, I ensure that every leaner has equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities. My core competencies include- instructional technology/design - accessible learning materials - graphic/layout design - multimedia production - technical support - intercultural communication/relationship building I have a master's degree in international education and a background in student advising and programming for diversity and inclusion. I am passionate about creating accessible and inclusive educational opportunities for underrepresented and underresourced populations; I wholeheartedly support and will never stop advocating for diversity, tolerance, intercultural understanding, inclusion, equality and accessibility. These are core tenants of the work that I do.
