Background
About Gina Atchison
Unfortunately, my job was the only one eliminated by a senior manager at the bank during a re-org in 2022 with my last day being November 1st, 2022. To say I was devastated at the time was beyond comprehension. Then I got my job as a financial examiner and realized that it was a major blessing in disguise. They say that one door closes and a new, better door opens, and they are completely accurate. Being removed from a toxic environment and placed into a very nurturing environment has been so amazing. For the first time in years, I have been able to live comfortably without needing additional employment, have felt important and appreciated, and been compensated appropriately. I used to work for the bank as the Operations Supervisor of the Adjustments Department, working in that department for 14 1/2 years. I oversaw nine colleagues. did scheduling, error tracking, updating SOP's, conducted monthly one-on-ones, weekly huddle meetings, bi-weekly meetings with my Team Lead & Manager, audit functions, monthly charge-offs, tracking production numbers to remain in SLA, fraud, returns, ATM, International Processing, disputes, research of transactions & cash letters, worked with SVPCO (The Clearing House), FedLine, eStarStation, Bankers Almanac, production when needed and much more. I was always available to my team whether working on a project, in a meeting or out on PTO. I always made sure they were taken care of, and questions were answered & addressed. I was also available to other departments and Correspondent Banks to assist and guide them through processes. Customer Service is/was the goal, as well as making sure things were being run correctly for the department, customers & companies while following company, compliance, audit & regulatory guidelines. Reviewing programs & processes to make sure they were working appropriately for the team as well as for maximum efficiency & accuracy. Skills: Team Management · Bank Fraud Prevention · Financial Audits · Knowledge Sharing · Microsoft Office Additional skills in Research, Grammar, Microsoft Excel, Customer Service, and Microsoft Word. Strong engineering professional with an Associate of Science (AS) with a focus in Industrial Electronics Technology/Technician from Mid-State Technical College. Side job is a Specialty Baker creating beautiful cakes and cupcakes for any event. I put TLC into everything that I make. Reward: the look on a customer's face when I present them with their masterpiece.
