About Gina Freese

About: I’ve enjoyed business accounting since early part-time jobs that let me dabble with numbers. When I wanted full-time hours, I found a contract position at a construction company. What I thought would be a steppingstone, ended up lasting over 14 years. By working in a small office, I learned everything about the business. The numbers fascinated me, and I tracked project data. I became a single source of information for the company owners and estimators by having costing details for a job done two or more years in the past so they could look at margins, get better bids, and win more local and government contracts. Once I became self-employed; the flexibility and freedom were game changers for me. I focused on being a trusted partner to other small business owners – enabling them to work in the field and meet with clients while I handled all the numbers – the bookkeeping, costing, payroll and so on. My sister, Andi, is also a numbers person and we’ve always been close. She and I have the same mentality, values, and high standards of ethics and loyalty. We’ve teamed up to help small to mid-size businesses succeed by offering our combined expertise. Fun fact: we have different approaches to handling accounting, finance, and reconciliations – yet we always arrive at the same numbers. We call ourselves ‘reconciliation specialists.’ Our business, AG Accounting Service, is built around four financial cornerstones: protection, growth, tax advantage, and safety (protected income). We help business owners: • Establish or revamp accounting practices, streamline office management tasks, and be cognizant of other contractor compliance issues • Develop financial planning strategies to plan for growth (Andi’s specialty) • Manage their companies – they can do the work they need to bring in the revenue and we can manage the numbers-focused paperwork that results from that, to include billing, invoicing, payroll, financial statement preparation, and more At first glance, our business name includes our first initials. But AG is also the periodic element for silver – and although gold may be a high standard, we believe silver is as strong and reliable as we are. It’s our dream that our business becomes a legacy to pass to our children and for them to pass to theirs.
