About Gina Levalley

I began my working career with over 6 years of retail experience which gave me great customer service skills and knowledge of how businesses run. I then found myself in a position more closely related to my school interests. I was employed as a child care worker in a residential group home for adolescent girls. I supervised them, presented myself as a positive role model for them, and was there for them when they needed to talk to someone. I then began working with Yellow Umbrella as an independent contractor. I helped provide services to members of the community, such as job, food, and financial service assistance; supervised visitations; court-approved parent education classes; and court-approved anger management classes. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology.the law and psychology mixed together.and hope to use that in the future when working with the legal system. I have my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and am receiving supervision to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. During my Master's program I interned in several agencies. I was a social mentor for college-age students with Asperger's Syndrome at the College Internship Program, an intern at the Center for Drug-Free Living, conducting intake assessments, group counseling, and individual counseling, and also interned at Central Middle School where I worked alongside the Guidance Counselor to help with education plans and help students with any issues they faced. I then began interning at the Children's Advocacy Center of Brevard in January 2013. I interned for 9 months before becoming employed by the agency in September 2013. I am currently a Crisis Intervention Counselor, providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy techniques for children and families who have experienced abuse and neglect.
