Based in Nairobi, Kenya, & through Ginger Ink Films Africa, I have been producing & servicing short and long-form content across the continent for 25 years. Our portfolio includes eight multi-award-winning feature films, two documentary features, and a handful of short films. Three of the features, NAIROBI HALF LIFE, KATI KATI, and SUPA MODO, were Kenya’s first three Academy Award entries. Our projects have won awards from the Berlinale to the AFI, to an Academy nomination, to Best Film at the EFCA. FISHING WITHOUT NETS, a Somali pirate film told from the perspective of the pirates, won Best Director at Sundance. We have also run the largest physical productions in the region, with Sense8 for Netflix (dir. the Wachowskis) demanding people on set in downtown Nairobi. We are known for putting the creative first, and being masters of physical production in sometimes challenging environments.
