About Ginn Cheng

Environmental Consultant specialising in data automation and analytics, developing full-stack systems that reduce processing time by over 99% and enable scalable air dispersion modelling. Passionate about bridging environmental science and data engineering to deliver smarter, faster, and more reliable insights-I’m an Environmental Consultant with a strong focus on data automation, analytics, and digital transformation in environmental modelling and infrastructure projects. At Jacobs, I’ve built end-to-end data systems integrating Python, SQL, R, and web technologies—automating complex modelling workflows, improving reporting speed, and enabling scalable data management for large projects such as the T2D program. My automation tools have reduced manual processing time by over 99%, transforming multi-day workflows into real-time results, improving reproducibility, and significantly enhancing team-wide efficiency. These solutions have allowed large-scale GRAL simulations to be managed by a single person while maintaining consistency across pollutants, traffic scenarios, and ventilation models. My work bridges the gap between engineering and data science, combining technical depth with environmental domain knowledge to deliver practical, data-driven insights. I enjoy designing systems that make data more accessible, reliable, and actionable for multidisciplinary teams.I’m currently expanding my expertise in cloud computing and advanced analytics, aiming to grow into a Data Consultant / Data Engineer role driving innovation and smarter industrial decision-making.
