About Ginna Alvarez

As a dedicated young professional, I am deeply passionate about leveraging green thinking to address environmental challenges and create positive impacts for society and the planet. Recently, I completed a Master of Environmental Management and Sustainability at Flinders University, equipping me with the knowledge and critical skills necessary for this endeavor. My academic background has provided me with expertise in Environmental Advising, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Impact Assessment, Circular Economy, Decarbonization, Nature Positivity, and Sustainability. This knowledge, combined with industry-related work experience, including placements at Edge Environment and an Environmental Government Agency in Colombia, has honed my consultancy-level support skills. During these placements, I contributed to sustainability projects in the built environment sector, focusing on Climate Change Resilience, Nature Positivity, and Urban Heat. My adaptability to fast-paced environments and strong multitasking abilities have allowed me to excel in these roles. Moreover, I have cultivated solid interpersonal relationships and enjoy collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds. In my spare time, I extend this passion by assisting new immigrants in Australia, providing them with a safe and inclusive space where they feel welcome and valued. As an enthusiastic leader and organized professional, I am committed to delivering tasks to the highest standards while remaining open to continuous learning and growth.
