GOALS-Find a position in a local organization providing my education and expertise as a family nurse practitioner-Participate in existing programs as nurse practitioner to vulnerable populations here and abroad. EXPERIENCE-Serving as a volunteer lead medical practitioner on medical missions to Colombia, SA, providing diagnosis treatment, medications, and care to vulnerable and underserved populations remote villages (8years). One clinic in Sevilla, Colombia has continued to provide indigenous nurse led clinics setting up in remote, underserved areas on a regular basis. Providing access to necessary follow-up for chronic disease management-Assisting disaster victims to access medically related needs and services-Providing health education and disease prevention-Covid response/sheltering, testing and vaccinating-Clinical Environmental/Global health and research experience in HIV and nurse clinics in Zambia, Africa. Clinical experience in Bihar, India remote hospital-Nursing Case management-Hospital and Health Insurance Industry -Emergency Medicine-Ambulance, ED, UMMS Shock Trauma-Medical Admissions consultant/liaison for rehab and chronic care facilities in Maryland. VOLUNTEER -Maryland Responds Medical Response Team- in conjunction with Baltimore County and City Health Departments for the COVID-19 response with testing, vaccinations, and as Medical Officer oversight at mass vaccination clinics-Lead Nurse/Practitioner for medical missions clinics in Colombia, SA, providing diagnosis treatment, medications, and care to vulnerable and underserved populations remote villages (8years). In 2022 set up 5 clinics in remote villages in areas surrounding Cali, SA. Examined, evaluated and treated around 200 patients. Health education provided leaders-American Red Cross Central MD chapter team leader with Disaster Health Services training and leading volunteer nurses and providing Condolence and Fatality Assistance to families who have lost a member due to disaster. National Disaster Specialist/Nursing, Educator for National Red Cross Disaster Services. Most recently deployed with ARC Disaster Health Services as a nurse manager and supervisor to California wildfires, Surfside, FL building collapse/ and New Jersey hurricane flooding/fatalities-HIV village clinics in Zambia, Africa (2010) Evaluating the roles of Village Community Health Workers to identify gaps in training/the effectiveness of village advocates to HIV treatment adherence.
