Ms. King possesses extensive expertise, global experience and executive leadership within the Environmental, Sustainability, Nature-based Solutions (NbS), and Natural Capital arenas and in concert with her passion, has been building bridges between economic generation and environmental protection, exhibiting leadership and balance within a challenging world, for over 33 years. She has excellent negotiation skills and is a strategic solution designer. Although Ms. King is a degreed Geologist who grew up in Colorado and began her petroleum career in the oil fields of West Texas, her expertise in the Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) arena, which initially was acquired from serving in the role of natural resource trustee for the State of Texas, has afforded her extensive opportunities to design out of the box solutions on behalf of numerous industry sectors including Oil and Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, and Transportation, both domestically and internationally. Ms. King has been operating in the world of Natural Capital since the late 1990's, unlocking hidden value for corporations and supporting achievement of sustainability, ESG and carbon sequestration goals. The capacity to design strategies includes ability to quantify the increase in ecosystem services to demonstrate achievement of targeted goals, including conservation and sustainability. She additionally possesses extensive regulatory working knowledge acquired from filling the role as RCRA Program Manager Field Operations for the TNRCC (now TCEQ), as well as CERCLA, SPCC, OPA 1990, NCP, NEPA, OSHA and MSHA, World Bank and IFC Standards, and emergency response (ER) experience. Her ER/NRDA experience includes being trained in the ICS, responding to emergency incidents in the US, South America and the Caribbean, conducting spill drills in Alaska, Latin America and the Gulf of Mexico, and supporting coastal resiliency through designing targeted ecosystem restoration during response.
