About Gino Abate

I have been very involved with Design and Creative thinking from a young age. With a very practical "form follows function" approach to my design methods, which all began when I first started developing my own product "the compact bike lock". I used this as a learning experience to go onto start my own Design consultancy, concentrating and developing products that help and improve people's lives. Having 2 products on the market, several patents and working on numerous other products available, I have experience not only in the design process and prototyping but also with the difficultly of getting products ready for retail. I am now using this experience to educate and inspire the next generation of Designers, running workshops in Product Design for Key stage 3 pupils as well as being a Demonstrator in Engineering Design at Bournemouth University.
