About Gio Miole
Giselle Lugo Miole is a postdoctoral research fellow jointly affiliated with the University of Tokyo and United Nations University under the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship program. They earned their PhD International Studies at Waseda University under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship program. Their research interests are politics on Indigenous peoples, inclusive education, climate justice and gender studies. They are also an educator and advocate of Indigenous and LGBTQI+ communities. They used to serve as a lecturer of Critical Race and Gender Studies at Soka University, and a former member of the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council.
