About Giorgio Cappuccinelli

As a master's student in Economics, Data Analytics and Corporate Finance at École Polytechnique (X), with relevant coursework in M&A, private equity, applied econometrics, and statistics, I am passionate about using a macro perspective to apply data analysis techniques to the finance world. I graduated from UCL with a BA in Economics, History and Politics, focusing on econometrics and macroeconomic analysis. I have experience in strategy and investment analysis at the European Investment Fund (EIF), where I presented in weekly meetings for the signature of over €3.5 billion in investment tickets in VC and PE funds, and liaised with different stakeholders to discuss the conditions of each ticket. I also built a model to perform automated data quality checks on the investment preferences of all equity mandates, while contributing to the daily activities of the fund. Previously, I worked as a consultant at Kubrick Group, where I acquired data analysis skills using Python, SQL, R, Collibra, Tableau, and Power BI. I also collaborated with a UCL professor and an associate to generate accurate analysis and improve the Political Economy course, creating and distributing monthly surveys and a final detailed report. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to solve real-world problems and create value for organizations and society. I am also keen to learn from others and expand my horizons in data analytics and corporate finance.
