About Giorgio Elia

I am part of the Culligan EMEA team leading balance sheet reviews and processes and controls over financial reporting across the EMEA region. Culligan International is a US-based consumer company with USD 3 billion in revenue, operations in over 90 countries, and more than employees. Previously, I led the accounting and financial reporting functions at D-Orbit, a VC-backed space logistics and transportation company, where I supported preparations for a potential US IPO. My responsibilities included the preparation of IFRS group financial statements, ERP implementation, internal controls, and fundraising activities. From 2006 to 2021, I worked at EY in Italy, Luxembourg, and for nine years in London as part of the Accounting Advisory and Capital Markets team. During my time in London, I was involved in approximately 40 capital markets transactions, supporting companies raising capital in the US and UK markets (IPOs, private placements, debt offerings, M&A, etc.). I advised on complex IFRS and US GAAP financial reporting, consolidated financial statements, technical accounting matters, drafting of prospectuses/registration statements, and SOX/internal controls. I have extensive experience coordinating cross-border teams, managing multiple workstreams, and working closely with investment banks, law firms, advisors, and senior stakeholders. I have delivered project-based work in more than 15 countries, including the US, UAE, and across South America
