About Giovanni Cortigiani

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Robotics Engineering at the University of Siena, in collaboration with Leonardo Labs, focusing on human-robot collaboration, co-manipulation, and grasping. I have been gaining hands-on experience with several robotic systems, including NAO, KUKA, Sawyer, Franka Emika, and Franka Research 3, which has honed my technical expertise in robotics, programming, and control systems. During my journey, I also came to appreciate the importance of soft skills, such as adaptability, spirit of collaboration and team work, communication, organization and dedication. I am eager of learning and I always aim to further improve these qualities. My strong commitment in networking, collaborating, and continuously learning is demonstrated by my several collaborations, both with national (Leonardo Robotics Labs, Italian Institute of Technology) and international (University of Twente, University of Lisbon) institutes. I am a blood donor, and a sport enthusiast, mainly practicing football and gym.
