About Gitima Das
As a person who loves nature and travelling, I pursued a master's in wildlife sciences. I am fascinated to have an in-depth understanding of various forms of human-wildlife interactions. I have worked on assessing human-elephant and human-bear conflicts until now and wish to learn more. Currently, my work domain has changed from terrestrial to aquatic ecosystems, where I am working on the Brahmaputra River Basin. Modern problems need modern solutions. Hence an interdisciplinary perspective should be the research focus to understand many processes and issues. Through my research, I intend to bring sustainable and inclusive development involving the harmony of humans with nature and its resources.
