Background

About Giulia Attanasio

My work spans across communication, video and music. My experience is rooted in the documentary field, where I've worked on film and television projects. As an editor, author, and researcher, I've collaborated with independent production companies, e-learning platforms, NGOs, and within various communication campaigns for social projects. My documentary "Makarìa"(selected at DOK Leipzig, RIFF Awards) is now available on the French screening platform Tënk.fr. In the musical field, I am the founder, facilitator, and trainer for the project terradeicanti.it. Since 2017, I've been leading training courses focused on choral singing and vocal improvisation, collaborating with various public and private organizations. Since 2019, I have been directing a multi-generational and international community choir, a concrete experiment in the practice of singing as a tool for social cohesion and prevention in internal and peripheral areas. I am a passionate multipotentialite, committed to expanding my knowledge and work experience beyond the audiovisual world: I speak 5 languages, design and conduct training for youth workers, and am currently undergoing training as a music therapist.
