Background
About Giulia Baconcini
Passionate about environmental and social topics, I have had the chance to work for ten years in the sustainable finance landscape. After analyzing the ESG practices of corporations in the listed markets, I then moved to the Development Finance sector, trying to achieve impact in developing countries via debt and equity to SME, Infrastructure and Financial Institutions. I have witnessed directly how motivated enterprises can identify, reduce and/or mitigate their negative environmental and social risks, while in parallel reaching positive impact for the environment and stakeholders.Curious by nature, the diversity of the projects I have worked for allows me every day to discover more in depth different sectors and topics, such as decent work, human rights, biodiversity, environmental permitting, pollution prevention, community engagement and land rights.
