About Giulia Cova

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at NYU Langone Health - Grossman School of Medicine investigating the relationship between 3D chromatin organization and gene regulation in resistance mechanisms to cancer therapies. Over the years I have acquired expertise in numerous sophisticated experimental techniques. Among various- CRISPR/Cas9 and CRISPR/Cas12a genome editing approaches - Next Generation Sequencing, including NGS libraries preparation - the most advanced chromosome conformation capture technologies to study 3D chromatin organization Additionally, I am constantly implementing and pioneering new protocols for my project or for the laboratory itself. I have a tireless determination, I pay a lot of attention to details and plan every experiment very carefully. I am an independent worker, but I also very much enjoy spending time discussing projects, ideas and troubleshooting. I am a great supporter of an interactive environment and I strongly believe in the importance of transmitting knowledge to others while giving back at the same time.
