About Giulia Giammo

Passionate scientist interested in cancer biology, drug discovery, assay development and interdisciplinary work between engineering and biological sciences. I have myriad experience working on very different projects spanning from routine drug screening to engineering troubleshooting and process development. Although the bulk of my expertise lies in cancer biology and molecular pathways, I am well versed in protein chemistry, immunology, and engineering and material sciences and have contributed intellectually to projects spanning these fields. I additionally have vast experience in tissue culture, organoid cultures, and working with animal models and designing in vivo-based experiments. I am captivated by all faculties of science and believe that incorporating these fields together through teamwork and collaboration makes for the most interesting discoveries and breakthroughs that can benefit human health. I have experience working in both industry and academic settings and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. I am on the job market and am particularly interested and passionate about science communication and education, and relaying important scientific concepts to the general public.
