About Giulia Melilli

I am passionate about connecting with people and supporting their needs; I thrive on fostering teamwork and collaboration in every aspect of my work. My daily mission at Ib Vogt revolves around the idea of “Make your Team feel like a Team.” I ensure a cohesive and supportive environment by understanding the unique needs, values, and dynamics of over 50 project managers. Over the past two years, as part of my multifaceted role, I have been committed to spearheading onboarding improvements for 30+ new colleagues and orchestrating team-building events from 20 to 200 participants. In addition to my role in team dynamics, I streamline administrative processes, moderate communication between departments, facilitate Workshops, and oversee the transition to new database management systems. I also support the administrative aspects of the team by providing training and guidelines and serving as a central point of contact. Moreover, I actively monitor expectations and performance through feedback surveys and appraisals, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals. My approach is rooted in my diverse background, including 4+ years of dedicated work in non-profit and stakeholder engagement. During my tenure with the European Association of Vie Francigene (AEVF), I contributed to European projects (RurAllure and Interreg Ita-Gre) focused on heritage management and cultural tourism communication, leaving a lasting impact on the organization's outreach efforts. At the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA), I championed public engagement in science, notably as a support member of the H2020 D-Noses project addressing odor pollution. Additionally, from 2016 to 2019, I volunteered with the FuoriVia Cultural Association, where I played a key role in planning and coordinating slow and cultural tourism experiences for diverse groups of more than 40 people annually. My academic journey, spanning from a B.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning to an M.Sc. in Environmental Planning, has equipped me with a wealth of knowledge in sustainable development, environmental impact assessments, urban ecology, and GIS. I firmly believe in the imperative of sustainability and strive to infuse every aspect of my professional and personal life with a commitment to building a better future for humanity and the planet.
