About Giulia Pavan

My work applies econometric techniques to antitrust and competition policy. She has assisted clients in civil litigation and damage quantification in Article 101 and 102 cases. I have contributed to the preparation of economic evidence (overcharge econometric analyses) and assisted legal teams in court proceedings in the UK, Italy, Netherlands and Belgium, among others. I have assisted clients in merger and abuse of dominance cases with the European Commission and National Competition Authorities. My work experience covers a range of industries, including high technology, transport (trucks, trains, and airlines). I am member of the W@Competition Executive Commitee in Italy. Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, I developed my expertise in the academic sector. I was a Postdoctoral researcher at the Toulouse School of Economics, where I worked both on industrial organization and environmental economics. I hold a Ph.D. in econometrics and empirical economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and the Einaudi Institute of Economics and Finance, where I specialized in empirical industrial organization.
