About Giulia Scabin

I am a Master Degree student in Sociology at the University of Torino, currently living in Bamberg, Germany. I have always been passionate about everything that concerns human communication and interaction, media and online world, passions that I decided to follow through my Communication Sciences Bachelor Degree at the University of Torino. During these three years I developed basic knowledge in sociology, media history and managing, semiotics, linguistics, psychology, economics and informatics. I also developed a particular interest in the functioning of human society and human interaction, and especially in the way this interaction changes and readjusts in a more and more digital environment. For this reason, I decided to specialize in Sociology as a master degree: through it, I am developing knowledge on statistics, quantitative and qualitative research, applied social theory and surveys construction. Through my internship experience in the advertising and communication agency of Markenwirt I had the chance to put in practice what I learnt during my Bachelor Degree in Communication Studies, and I had the opportunity to work in a new country, with a different culture and a different language. I’m very happy of my first work experience in Germany, and I look forward to engaging in new ones. I am looking for new challenges and opportunities where I can apply what I’m studying and acquire new skills that can enrich my experience and knowledge baggage.
